Thank you and your beautiful mom for sharing this! I appreciate learning the interiors of navigating this particular life transition, and Roy’s art and the radiant images of your mom really grounded her wisdom wonderfully. Excited for this series!
Aja! I love this series. And now I better understand where your insight and instinct draws from. You’re a connector, too! Thank you for sharing this Mother’s Day gift.
This piece is incredible, with all of its layers -- the connection to Mother's Day, Crosse's body of artwork, your mom as a connector (with art), and your mom's process to move through change. I relate so deeply to all of this. My early ideas for an "art camp" started with becoming an archivist for dead artist's bodies of work. I shied away from this project because it is so enormous. And your Mom did this - with what I can see is an extensive body of work. This is no small feat. I can tell that she is creative, positive, tenacious, and warm. She seems incredible and you really honored her with this article.
Thank you for reading, Cortney! I didn't know this was and interest of yours, always learning something new about your vast interests here. And yes, the work of stitching a history of someones body of work is so enormous, especially when someone was prolific, but really important. Would love to talk to you more about it.
What a beautiful tribute to Roy and a way to get to know you better through your absolutely inspiring, wise and gorgeous mom. Thank you for sharing this story with us.

Thank you for reading, Danita! She is so wise, and I'm lucky I get to keep learning from her.
